Anticipation.....

The Anticipation and Remembering.....
I still can remember the excitement and anticipation of Santa's arrival on Christmas Eve. To be a kid again and experience the awe and wonder of that most prestigious of nights. I tell ya we do grow up way to fast...maybe that's why we have children and then grandchildren so that magic can continue. This one time a year everyone always seems a bit nicer and alive.....wish everyone could carry that magic with them everyday. It seems  if we did,  tough times wouldn't seem so tough and small petty people would remain small and petty but we wouldn't worry about them, lol! As my grandmother use to say "sweet milk can turn sour but sour milk will NEVER turn sweet"! Let's all enjoy the simple magic that Christmastime brings. Take some time to smell the air and listen to the tinkle of a bell and the laughter of children. Leave a dollar here and there, or some much needed food.... and maybe remove a few tags from a giving tree and buy some gifts. Make this small part of the year last a lot longer in your heart and as well as the heart of someone else! Merry Christmas everyone!

I love all the sentimentality in your posting. Ahhhhhhh the memories!

I get to get out of the house today for just a little bit. We are going to eat brunch at Cracker Barrel so I am too excited! You would think I was going to have brunch with the Queen!

Have a wonderful day my lovely friend!

Love,

Great post Pam - ahhhh - what a wise, wise, woman your grandmother was - love her words. And, yes, if we all tried to "keep" Christmas in our hearts all the year through, the world would be a "sweeter" place. Wishing you all things merry and bright....Smiles & Christmas Hugs ~ Robin
