Christmas Down Under......

Most of the time when we think of Christmas we think "SNOW".... Or we might have images of a workshop in the North Pole with everyone bundled up in red and white and drinking hot cocoa.  Of course there is the "fatman" in red with fur trim to remember (hey isn't that the guy I live with?)  Anywho....we think cold and snow this time of year.  Having our kids living in all parts of the world, has taught Dan and I to be a bit more flexible when it comes to how we imagine the Christmas season.....
Right now,  it is snowing in the mountains of Southern California so our daughter Casey and family are in for a "White Christmas".  Our son David, who lives in Shanghai, China,  will be having a gray and rainy Christmas... BUT.... our son Chip who lives in Australia is having the most uncommon Christmas from we normally imagine!  I had to laugh when I saw the picture of our grandson Rohan sitting on Santa's lap and Santa is wearing sunglasses!  Or how about the one of our granddaughter Abby with her friend and they are dressed in summer wear
wearing Santa hats....I mean what kind of Christmas carols would you sing...."Sleigh Ride" or "Jingle Bells"?
Dashing through the snow just doesn't seem to fit!   Chip says the heat and summer like weather has helped him get through Christmas without being TOO homesick!  I just can't imagine swimming and picnicking at Christmas but I'm sure in our southern states here they probably do it but me, I love the cold weather at Christmas and snow is just a bonus!  Even our grandson Eli is in the Santa fashion wearing sunglasses for Christmas....just can't get over it, LOL!

I live in Australia, and they say it will be 37 deg centigrade on Christmas day. TOO HOT. I would love to see a white Christmas, but I think I have no hope.
Warm Hugs to you.
