Woo-Hoooo!I'm Home!

View of Mt. Hood from Sandy, Oregon where my mom is now living!
I never realized how much I miss my old stomping grounds until I return. That first deep intake of the Oregon air starts the memory pistons in my brain to fire and my youth starts flashing by like a movie on fast forward.

My brother and I have been moving our mother into her new digs, a retirement community and she loves it! I went to dinner with her one night and that was quite an experience. I was sitting in the dining hall with 50 seniors, lots of walkers, wheel chairs and canes and enough silver hair to cover a small country and I had an ephiphany "OMG" I'm a senior too! I may not have the walker, cane etc. but if it wasn't for "Preference" by L'oreal I'd be contributing to the silver hair brigade. My mom has her own little apartment and is able to keep her beloved Heidi with her (very important). Heidi is the sweetest pooch and keeps the smiles on everyones face when they meet her.

Even though I am going to be away from my home for a while I am still keeping up with my obligations to TDIPT, PFATT and Simply Primitives. I was able to complete my humble little characters for TDIPT before I left for this adventure...sooooo be sure and take a gander at TDIPT on the first!

Okay everyone....I hear there is "BINGO" today! Mom and I are off to divide and conquer the room....wa-hoooooo!
