Been awhile since I sat down to write anything......think it kinda goes without saying that I am over-whelmed, over-worked and over-joyed....Ghoultide Gathering is almost here!  This will be my 4th year and I still pinch myself when I think of being a part of this amazing Halloween show.   This is also a time of reflection for me and growth....I know my style will always be with me cause it's just who I am but I keep pushing forward with new ways of doing things to enhance my whimsical/primitive look.  I thoroughly enjoy incorporating the old with the new to give my characters a bit of that "days gone by" look.  We NEVER look at our work the same way others do and we have to trust that when they compliment you and ooo and ahhh they truly believe in you and your work!  I've never been one who handles compliments well but I'm learning.  Ghoultide has been good for me on many levels....it continues to challenge me and even at my age I find that being challenged is always a good thing and it has taught me that dreams do come true!  You'll know what I mean when you get to sit in a room with the artists you have admired most of your adult life!  So here we go....we're off to Chelsea, MI in a couple of weeks to hang our shingle out there with the best of the best and meet some of the most incredible collectors and people, people with magic in their hearts and a Halloween soul!!!!!
