"Ghoultide"....Halloween for Grown-ups!

As another year at "Ghoultide Gathering" closes and I can sit back and take a much needed breath and begin to reflect.....I know you are all probably thinking, oh no not another one of those mind altering, soul searching soliloquies....Nope not goin' happen! The reflection is just a simple three letter word "WOW"! This year "Ghoultide" expanded to have an early preview and buy night and can I just say "it was awesome". It was seriously like Halloween for grown-ups. The live music was playing, treats were all around with cider flowing and hot cocoa as well....there was that magic in the air from our childhood that all of us die hard Halloween lovers carry with us everyday. The weather was awful but only seem to enhance that magic. Anywhere you looked there were costumes, lights, treats, and laughter! The smiles were everywhere the excitement was contagious and powerful. The collectors, with their orange Ghoultide gift bags brimming, were exchanging peeks of their treasures and new discoveries and making sure that if you hadn't visited a certain artist that you needed to. It was seriously like Halloween night from my childhood but instead of collectibles we always shared which house had the best candy! Every year I pinch myself and go back and re-read my letter from Scott when he invited me. This is truly a dream come true for all of us who participate. We bow our humble heads (as Joycee says we curtsy) to Scott and Stephanie for all their vision and hard work. Two of the most selfless individuals that I have ever had the privilege of calling friends! They strive to make all of us feel like the kings and queens of Halloween that we know they already are...... because of this amazing event I feel as though I'm the artist I have always wanted to be.... so to all of you Halloween lovers out there....get geared up for next year and get yourself an "E" ticket to the best Halloween Event Created....you won't be disappointed! Each year just gets better from the previous one...Now for some pictures.....It's time to see the artists as they begin their Ghoultide adventure! Please note that most of my pictures are from the set-up....Dan and I NEVER got away from our table once the show started so I apologize that some of the tables weren't completely set up when we took the photos.
Soft in the Head...Carolee Clark....Nicol Sayre....Vergie Lightfoot.....Debra Schoch....Lori Ann Corelis.....Sheila Bentley...Scott Smith....Katherine Webber....Laurie Hardin and Kelly.....Paul Gordon....Murphy's Bears.....Debbie Hawkins....Johanna Parker....Will Bezek (really missed his set-up sorry Will) Dinner with the artists after Ghoultide....Hi Murph and Joycee! Can't forget the brave artists who withstood the elements to give Ghoultide its best....I also want to thank all the artists that I didn't get pictures of cause my batteries died and the crowds were HUGE....also all the amazing people that came out to celebrate this magical event! We have the BEST collectors EVER!!!!!!
