Climbing Out Of The Hole.......

Feeling A Lot Like Alice......
As many of you have heard this "Ol' girl" has been down a rather deep hole health-wise recently! My arms may be weakened with age and my body quite large but I have managed to pull myself up to edge of this proverbial hole of drug laden confusion and chaos and regained a firm grasp to the edge with my nails dug deep into reality. " I AM GOING TO BEAT THIS ILLNESS"! No more coughing, sneezing, sore throat, swollen eyes and wet pants! Yes folks at my age a cough results in wet pants, and believe me when I tell you I have had my share! Okay so now you're thinking "WAY TO MUCH INFORMATION!!!!" but in all reality this is a fact of my condition, old age and having bronchial-pneumonia. Most embarrassing scenario is coughing up a lung in your doctors office with your legs crossed and then apologizing for the puddle left on the floor. Think I'm kidding...a-a-a- no! This Ol' girl has been through the ringer the last two weeks and had moments of wondering if I were actually going to make it through. I kept dreaming of Alice in my drugged fits of sleep (there is definitely an upside to Codeine) and thinking about all the obstacles she endured wandering through Wonderland...Lewis Carroll had the right idea....drugs do help with a more vivid imagination! Since I have put aside writing my will at this time I must definitely be feeling better. My business on the other hand has taken a serious blow since it only has one employee "ME"! I have yet been able to train the cats on the fundamentals of computer use and which file has the patterns....Thanks to all my wonderful customers for being so darn understanding and patient! I still have a rather long road ahead before I will be 100% (is anyone ever 100%? another topic for another time) but a least it's just my feet dangling in that hole now instead of me plunging into that abyss of sickness......A special thank you to Carolee Clark for staying close to me and keeping everyone informed of my progress and a heartfelt thank you to all of you for the prayers and blessings and just plain ol' thinking about me.....YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST MEDICINE FOR ANYONE!...I am truly blessed! I would also like to add that I married the bestest guy on the planet....Dan you are truly my hero!

Hi Pam,
I had no idea that you have been sick! Goodness! It's good to hear that you're finally on the mend, that type of thing is nothing to sneeze at, or cough at, (oops, did that cause another puddle?) Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. If I lived closer I'd make you and Dan some of my homemade chickie soup. Be well my friend

ROTFLOL, I can just see you in the Doctor's office! So glad you are on the mend, just take care that you don't over do it and end up making puddles on the floor again! Your hubby sounds like a mighty fine guy, now you just have to whip those cats into shape. Take care Pam and hope you're back to your old self soon, Deb

I came on to see if there was anything new and I find your updated note about you being so ill. Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. Being ill is yucky, but having that wonderful hubbie you talked about must help bunches.

I can sooooo relate to the puddles and I can do it by laughing so hard at times without being sick at all. Hee hee!!! I do love a big ole belly laugh and it I wet my undies or britches in the process well they will dry. :-)

I have a little dog (25 lbs.) who is a mix of Jack Russell, Beagle and Corgie we think and I keep trying to teach him to get me things from the fridge, etc. but he just doesn't budge from where he is. LOL!!!! His name is Scout and the only thing he scouts is chipmunks. Poor little things. I freak out when he gets them. He is so fast.

Enough of that stuff...you take good care of yourself and have hubbie help get you well. :-)

Lynn (with the curly hair from the Fairfax fair) BTW...I got a gift certificate for Christmas for Barnes & Noble and I bought Alice in Wonderland for the illustrations mostly. I love them.

Bye :-)

Pam, I'm so sorry to learn of your illness. But so glad that you are starting to feel better. Eat well and take care, lots of sleep, as THAT is when our bodies do the most healing.
Wishing you well.
PS. if you feel up to it, do drop by for a peek at my 'giveaway'.

So sorry to hear you've been sick, I know how that feels (was ill for Christmas); and even though we Ole gals start menopause, the kotex pads still come in handy during the coughing season!
Hope you're better soon!
