Say Goodbye to 2009!

Say Hello to 2010 and New Resolutions!

Do you make resolutions? I do...well I try...okay so I don't really! I have good intentions but old habits always seem to sneak in there and completely and totally upset those "good intentions" with a vengeance! Darn old habits! I like to think positive and seriously hope that this next year will be far better than the last...it keeps me young, lol!
What are some of the "resolutions" you all have? I think my most favorite and one I try every year is "LOSE WEIGHT"! Okay now this seems to be a common one for most but ya know this year I am going in with one thought on my mind "size 14"...Now to all you size 12's and under you are probably snickering... but this is serious to us, what do that call us now...PLUS SIZE girls! It is time to be a "MINUS GIRL" enough of this plus thing....Heck I have been plusss-ing myself right into the the design shop of "Omar the Tent Maker"! I am tired of wearing pants that can hold me and six others...it is time to focus! Pass the rice cakes!

Another one of my Ol' Time favs is being more organized....yea right! That's like trying to juggle porcupines without gloves! How many true artsy people are organized? If you are, bottle it and sell it to the rest of us not so organized artists...heck you'd make a fortune! I have a sign over my work space (excuse me...My Studio...LOL) that says "CREATIVITY IS NOT PRETTY SIGHT" and I wrote at the bottom of said sign in rather large letters "AMEN TO THAT!!!!!" Of course it took me a while to find the black marker to write it since it was buried under 10 scraps of fabric and 6 pattern pieces along with a dozen or more scraps of paper! Maybe one of those "ART" magazines is looking for a rather large, disorganized somewhat sloppy woman to feature! Hey I'm your girl!

May this new year be one where we learn to embrace, encourage and respect our differences so we all can have enjoyment and prosperity! Happy New Year Everyone!

Hi Pam...Well AMEN to that!!

I hope you can win the battle with Omar...10 at a time...much easier to focus on small goals.

Label, label...I will post pics of my little studio on facebook soon...maybe it will help.

Wishing you all of the very best for a successful, happy new year.
Hugs always, Nancy xoxo

I'm so with you, Pam!! I love that size 14 thing! I'll work on that one, too! Organization ~ I've done much better this year ~ and it does help create more time when I'm not looking all over the place for something!
Good luck with your goals ~ I'll keep you posted on mine! And I will be so glad to say bye bye to 2009 for so many reasons!

Oh Pam, I just love reading your blog, lol....I'm right there with you on the "plus size" thing too. A 14 would be heaven, *sigh*....

As I wrote last night, no resolutions though, only wishes!

To that end, I'm wishing you and Dan a happy, healthy and amazingly creative 2010!!

Hugs,
~ Carolee

To fellow creators... we spend precious time creating treasures, not organizing our workshops! My motto is, if I can find the door, I am good to go-
As far as the plus battle, I can relate only too well as fought this for many years- have maintained a 95 # weight loss for ~ 7 years by doing TurboKick-
Happy New Year to you all- let's all have a ball creating in 2010- ridgely
