Every time I get ready to start a new project or begin that journey down "Holiday Row" I start to read and thumb through my favorite books. It is the pen and ink artists like Arthur Rackham and Beatrice Potter that I envy so much. One thing that I have learned in this biz is that "ART" really does come from inside the person creating it. It never matters what your chosen medium may be it is nesting inside you. It arrives to its destination with the help of your hand, head and heart. I have seen many pen and ink artists with incredible talent but lack the imagination to make their art sing....Beatrice Potter and Arthur Rackham are two of my favorites that always make their art sound like an 500 piece ochestra.......

You are so right there Pam, and you are one of those artists! All your pieces sing the song of originality and of art from the heart! The smiles they bring is evidence of that. I love Potter and Rackham also for that reason.
Keep up the good work Pam and enjoy your weekend!
Hugs & smiles, alba
Those are some of my favorites as well. Folks like you and so many others get me going. They remind me that I can create if I get off my duff-y and get going. Your humor in your work inspires me each day. I love a good giggle and would love to capture that, that I once had.
It will come back, I know it will with a new song of the this bright New Year..
BIG HUG!!!

I do love seeing other artist's work and I am inspired by all types. Usually for me, it is something I see, and it begins from there. I start with a simple idea and it grows.
I do want to spend more time this year with my doodle pad and some good irish music and who knows what will come about;)

Hi Pam, I love your work...so creative.
I love vintage illustrations, early toys, especially the quirky old tin toys. Children's book illustrations are wonderful too. I remember how the illustrations in "The Wind and the Willows" captured my imagination as a child.
Keep creating!
