THE PAST COLLIDED WITH THE PRESENT FOR ME!

As many of you know I have been on the west coast for the past two months. What was suppose to be a relaxing vacation turned out to be anything but!
I almost lost my mother while visiting her. My mom is 81 years of age and has been having issues with her health for some time but in spite of that she was always spunky and full of life. That life came very close to being over while I was there and that vision hangs on in my mind continuously, I can't seem to shake it, but by the grace of God she is still with us.

When she returned from the hospital we spent many hours talking and renewing a kindred spirit that had long been forgotten. I honestly believe I got to know who my mom really is for the first time in my life and realized how good of friends we have become. I now miss her with a fondness and love in my heart that I had never known before.

I wanted to share a couple of pictures with all of you of my mom in her youth. She still retains the sparkle in her eyes and that mischievous smile she had. I also wanted you to see my dad, he left us in 1987 for his next journey with his ancestors and old friends. I miss him.......Thank you mom and dad for making me and giving me the strength to endure, the wisdom to accept and the sense of humor to stay young at heart!

How wonderful that you have this relationship with your mom. I would like to think that I would have the same closeness if we hadnt lost her at such an early age.

It's very clear just how precious she is to you and I'm so happy you had this time together Pam!

Pam, I am so glad that your Mom is recovering ,I think it was meant to be that you were with her at this time when she needed you.I am sure it had a great deal to do with her recovery. Doreen told me what had happened and we were both thinking of you,you may not know but Mark's dear grandmother passed last week so it has been a very stressful time for them also. Doreen's computer has crashed again but will be in touch soon. We are in the south now and I must tell you I am lost without my family .I will look foward to seeing your spring creations as I know they will be filled with love and old memories. Donna

Hello my friend. So glad to see you back posting once again. As hard as things may be to endure at the time....it all happens for a reason. God intervens to change a situation he feels needs changing....to restore a lost relationship with your mom.....Or to take us from a bad situation and lead us toward the good. :)

God Bless
