Been Awhile.......

Time to Dust It Off and Begin Again....
I haven't been here in quite some time.....As the New Year came upon me I had all the positive thoughts and tummy fluttering's of this being the best year yet!

Since January has come and gone I still have hope this will be a good year cause to be honest January literally kicked my butt with surprises and not of the good kind.  After weeks of battling one illness after another I am finally sitting here at my computer and writing on my blog.  The last couple of weeks found me in the hospital with complications from the flu and a bit frightful of whether I would see my family, friends and my blog again!  I was neck deep into my annual "Pattern Sale" with hundreds of orders pending and my world just stopped!  I want to thank all of my amazing customers for their patience and understanding during this time.  I am finally getting caught up with only 50+ more to finish this week.

I have seriously missed creating and being in a drugged induced state is definitely the "BEST" way to come up with new ideas so now I need to get those ideas off the paper and into some new characters......Look out "Ghoultide" I see some rather dark little mice headed your way, lol!

All in all I have had time to seriously sit back and appreciate the art world I have created over the years.  It has brought me so many new and wonderful friends and experiences that have humbled me in many ways!  My internet friends have helped me take that much needed breath each day when I thought I just wanted to walk away and let the "wrong doers" prevail!  My family has always given me balance and the ability to pursue my rather odd profession!  In the time of any personal crisis we all need to step back and remember that our life my be our own but it is our responsibility to remember all the lives our one life touches in our journey and to always "Be Kind"!

Now.....where's that dust cloth and can of oil....it's time for the wheels of "Soft in the Head" to start humming again!

I am sorry to hear you have been sick, I think most of us have been hit with it. I also have lyme so I understand how you feel about not creating this year, but I keep busy with small patterns and slowly getting back into making my own designs again. I look forward to seeing what you make in the new year.
