"Ghoultide on the Brain".......

Why is it that after every "HUGE" show an artist says to themselves, "I'm going to get an earlier jump on this next year"?....and without fail you don't! Welcome to my on-going battle! I know this show is coming, I know it takes mountains of time from the thought process to the actual finished item....then WHY do I wait so long to dive in????? I can honestly say that this year has mostly been due to health reasons....yep you heard it here...the Ol' Softee has been fighting the "darkside" since last December. I almost passed on to the other side last December but managed to negotiate with "the powers that be" to give me more time and they did but not without, shall we say, challenges! I'm still in a battle to retrieve what was once normal and through this it has affected my ability to sew, see, and even walk......needless to say I'm a tad over-whelmed but also I am VERY stubborn and refuse to give in....so everyone out there please be patient and this Ol' girl will eventually deliver the goods! I just finished a couple of new characters for "Ghoultide", yep they're mice and witches as well. I think this year "Soft in the Head" is changing a bit....don't get scared, we will still be the whimsical, primitive designer who has a thing for mice, frogs and pumpkinheads but I'm going to pop out of that proverbial box a bit! Wish me luck! Hope you like my new little witches!

Love your new pieces, definitely unique and different, love how you have been going with your new pieces.
I need to start fall now, I always get behind, so decided I need to do holidays, about 6 months ahead, lol.

You are not alone! I too am sewing like a Mad Hatter for fall shows, trying to balance my creating with grandkids, garden and life. I work for an area school and summer is my time to "getter done"! Found out over the weekend I have shingles! My motto....just keep swimming, swimming, swimming! Good luck and hang in there! Debbie
