Spooky Bliss.....

The Unexpected and Then Some..........
Meet one of my newest members added to my "Ghoultide Gathering" inventory.....this is "Wicket"..... This last week has found me throwing myself into Ghoultide and avoiding everything else. I think there comes a time in everyone's life when you feel the need to escape, run and/or hide from the unexpected twists and turns of life.....you just reach your limit! Such is the situation here at the "House of Soft". I honestly think that I have reached my limit for "unexpected events". The upside to all this chaos is that my creative dry-spell is over and I think I've found my mojo again...Funny thing about chaos, when you run to avoid it you actually find a strength you never knew you had...

As many of you have read on Facebook our grandson Rohan, who lives in Australia, has been very ill. There is still no understanding or new informatyion why this is going on, but then we live 15,000 miles away and can only get "snippets" of detail at best when our son has time to call or write. To add even more "chaos" to the mix our beloved Casper is dying. He is home with us now and will be until he begins to suffer or he gives that "I need to move on" look. These two events coincide with other emotional and devastating events, losing my friend Penny to cancer and a dear friend in a car accident, also I have two VERY dear friends battling cancer. It's times like this, the "out of my hands" times, that having my work gives me some sense of peace. I had a quote on my Facebook from Mother Teresa that said "
I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much". She was and is my hero, such a wise and compassionate soul. Here is praying for some balance in my life and to those I love. Sometimes life can be like a "Merry-Go-Round" always spinning and colorful but just about the time you've had enough of going around and around the conductor gets generous and gives you more "go-arounds! This Ol' Softee is just a bit dizzy right now but will hopefully be getting off the ride soon!

Hi my Sweet Friend,

You have been in my thoughts and prayers and I will continue to keep you and your family in my heart.

Trusting in the Lord in these trying times is the biggest challenge we face but sometimes it is in times like these that a major part of our purpose is revealed to our souls.

Love You sweet friend. Praying for sunny days ahead.

LOVE YOUR NEW PUMPKIN GIRL!!!

Hold fast my dear to all that keeps you focused... just when your heart is breaking take that needle in hand and help to mend it. Each creation is an expression of you and will keep your mind off the troubles while you stitch away.
We spend most of our lives being tested and the sorrow sometimes seems unbearable. Faith in all that is good shall guide you.

My prayers are with you through this difficult time. I pray that they find the problem with your grandson and that he will have a speedy recovery.
But I agree with you. Sometimes you just have to escape to a world that gives you comfort. God bless you, Valerie

First, I absolutely adore Wicket and I love his/her name. You are so amazingly talented and productive. It leaves me in awe.
Secondly, I am so terribly sorry that your grandson is ill and that he is so far away. That has to be so tremendously hard. I hope he gets amazing medical care and that he will have a speedy recovery.
Please take care of yourself and hubby. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other as much as you can and do whatever you need to to get through this very difficult period.
You and your family and Casper's spirit are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and many gentle hugs from,
Cindy
