Family......
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Time For A Hug......
The doors of "Soft in the Head" will always be open for those that need a hug. Lately I have seen more anger and hostility in cyber world than I care to think about...now like anyone I have the option of hitting the delete or off button... but when you see this hostility coming from those you have known for many years it makes one feel sad. We wouldn't be intelligent and caring creatures if we weren't passionate ones. I see this hostility surfacing in my much loved art community and dividing those I care a great deal for. Remember why you create and why art is in every breath you take...art is an extension of ones soul. You create for smiles and giggles and to give sunshine and life where little exists. It makes an unhappy day over flow with laughter and spark a twinkle in the eye of the one seeing it. It touches the memories of days gone by and captures the essence of that time so we can hold onto it forever! Don't let opinions and discussions escalate into a frenzy that eventually sucks the life from what we love to do.....we're friends, comrades and makers of smiles. Remember, in spite of our physical, religious and political differences we all belong to the same club...humanity! I am sending all of you a HUGE HUG from this ol' Softee. Now play nice!

Great post!! I'm sending a big old hug right back to you Pam...
Wow...well even though I'm not angry or anything like that...a HUGE HUG is always welcomed anyway :D. What a beautiful jester, and I do hope all who read it will feel much better.
Keep creating!
Bright blessings,
Kathy
You have a gifted way with words Pam. Thanks for throwing a bit of soothing balm out for those of us who need it. Bless you!

Thanks for your thought provoking post, Pam. And a hug from you always makes me all better!
What an appropriate post for me. Last week my family had to deal with less than caring thoughts in cyber space. Thank you so much for reminding me how we all need to play nice. Big hugs from me, Nan
Fabulous post, well said!

Indeed! ... and may kindness prevail in our spinnning world! :-)
Huggies and Love to you friend.
Thanks pam, well said...we all need a bit of reminding sometimes just how close we all really are in this big world...Love always wins in any situation...keep up the Love, and thanks for the BIG HUG.

Well said, Pam. I've noticed as well that it hasn't taken much to find the negativity, anger and borderline hysteria these past couple of days...Every other discussion seems to be ratcheting out of control. But whatever our ideological differences, we should all try to come from a place of tolerance and understanding. :)
Hugs back atcha...

What an amazing post, thanks for the pick me up!
Thank you all for your caring words and support. I did receive one comment from the infamous "Anonymous"....the words were mean and spiteful and I felt didn't deserve a place here with all the warm fuzzies so I deleted it. Pam
Pam
I just recieved the most wonderful doll I have ever recieved in my life and it is all due to your wonderful creative nature and warm spirit. Rachael will warm my home with the love you created her with for many years to come and I love her as I love your spirit. I am sending you big hugs and much love and I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Your friend and the worlds dear Miss Penny. It is always so true, when they say, the good they die young. God bless her family and God bless you Pam.
