I have never really been a “bear” maker or even thought much about making a bear. It was one of those things that just never took hold of my creative spirit I guess….or maybe I had a bad experience with a bear of the stuffed variety when I was young and blocked it out. Needless to say me and bears…..not a good match! UNTIL I met Connie Hindmarsh! This is one determined woman! She bought my “Socks” rabbit pattern and fell in love with it. Now Connie is one incredible bear maker! She has a true love for these four legged characters and she can do wonders with them…PLUS she designs her own patterns, so why ask me to do a bear you wonder? Move over cuz I have been asking myself that same thing! Well, I caved and made a bear….I made “Boomer” the bear! Connie will be taking my “Socks” rabbit and my “Boomer” the bear patterns and models to her big Quilt show coming up. Hey Connie you are one persuasive woman….she calls herself “pushy” personally I like persuasive!
