Eff-A-Lumps and Woozles!

The Elephants Are Among Us!

Every once in a while I come across a character that just makes me giggle and smile everytime I look at it and this is how I feel about Debbie Maas Miller's elephants and mice. I met Debbie two years ago as I was setting up my booth at the "From Our Hands" show in Columbus, Ohio. She and her equally talented sister Tammy Speicher were set up right next to me and I was completely spell bound by the artistry of these two women. Their corner space was transformed into a place where anyone that entered was transported back in time to their childhood.

When I saw this little elephant, Ellie, on Simply Primitives I remembered our brief but fun time at that show. I was gifted with two treasures from Debbie and Tammy that I keep in a place of honor in my dining room, one of Debbie's mohair mice and one of Tammy's mohair elephants. These two women are exceptional at what they do and their characters are definitely worth owning. Many try to duplicate their exquisite talent for "time worn treasures" but fail miserably. I can't wait to see them this September at the "Spirit of Friends" Show in Ohio. Check out Debbie at: In the Onion Patch and Tammy at: The Humble Crow....you will love it!
