Sometimes life has a way of being like an annoying little gnat that just keeps buzzing in your face until you finally make contact and "WHAM" it's gone! This last year I have made it my "game plan" to try and be the kind of person that my family and friends(especially my grandkids) can be proud of. Often this task has taken me down some pretty bumpy roads but I must say I have become a better person because of it. It seems, I have also gathered a rather unsavory following from New England that likes to poke their evil head into my world numerous times a day. Instead of being annoyed by this I find it gives me "the giggles" and makes my day! They know who they are and I am sure they will be reading this post. Hi There!!!!!! Any who....any time we can take the selfish antics of others and turn them around to bring sunshine into our world seems like a good day to me!
I do have some dark days ahead with receiving some devastating news concerning a dear family member. I hope that we can find strength in our family, friends and spirit to get through what will be an emotional roller coaster for those I love. Life can be a cruel task master and test us often....but I hold onto my faith to help me endure!
I have many grueling days ahead getting ready for the event "Ghoultide Gatherings". The response to me being a member of this prestigious group has been amazing and heartwarming. Thank you EVERYONE for giving me the confidence to go forth and create! I still think Scott is a bit insane for inviting this "old bag of tricks" but I am sure glad he did. For all of you out there that work hard trying to find yourself in your art....keep plugging along. I am living proof that it pays off! Not always with money but with a true sense of who and what you are! For the first time in many years I can call myself a true artist and mean it! Wow never thought that day would ever come...still scares me a bit! Find some time in your day just to sit back and look up and say "Thank You"!

The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

what wonderful insight...and your attitude is remarkable...I'm so sorry to hear that one of your family members has a rough road ahead...my positive energies are going out as I type...love this post Pam...
Betsy
Pam ~ the same from me! We all know that we don't get more than we can bear ~ but we sure wonder sometimes, don't we? And you have the positive strokes in your life from those who appreciate your art and hopefully, those good things will carry you thru the rough times!
Take heart, friend!!
I hear ya Pam....hey can I borrow the fly swatter??? I have a couple pests that need it too LOL
My thoughts on the matter....give them enough rope....they will hang themselves and besides you cant do anything to them that they havent already done to themselves :)
Hugs !!! Angie
Having a positive attitude and seeing the humor in life is the best way to live life;) I love to create and I may never be rich or famous, but I am content with creating things that make me happy.

Hi Pam...You are right...the more attention you give this, the more power they have...
I am so sorry to hear about your family member...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Hope you mouth is getting better...no fun and I know...they are a license to print money!!
Have a great long weekend!
Hugs, Nancy
Pam,
Life is a box of chocolates and sometimes they are bitter and sometimes there are ones you don't like. But the good ones make up for all the bad. You are one of the good kind.:)
I agree with Angie, they will hang themselves sooner or later. Don't give them any of your energy. You will need it for the this show.
I hope one day to be able to call myself a artist and mean it. Don't know if it will ever happen but enjoying the moments how ever many I get.
This year is also for self improvement for me. I want to learn everything I can, be the best I can possibly be and be grateful for each moment. Even the good, the bad and ugly as each one has a lesson and more learning for this Old Pea.
I am sure that your family is already proud of you! I can say I knew you when. LOL

Ha Ha LOL!!!!! I am so glad I'm not the only one who looks at a show prep as a grueling task! That just make me laugh so hard!! I am soooo glad when the creations in my head have finally made there way out!
I forgot to sign my note...
Hugs & Blessings,
Debbie
These self absorbed people are shocked when they realize how little time people actually spent thinking about THEM. Just long enough for a giggle is perfect! Your energies are where they need to be for you and your family. Remember that you were asked to that show because of your artisitic talent and quality of work. Positive energy and healing is sent from all of us here ~~~
