"SOFT IN THE HEAD" had a WONDERFUL SHOW!
My last show for the year.......
I was a bit leery to go back to Fairfax, Va. after having such a poor showing at the Harvest Festival...even though I need to remember that the "Harvest Festival" was the day after "BLACK FRIDAY" and Fairfax is right next to Washington D.C. where the economy is taking serious blows. With all that aside I limited my inventory and put on my optimistic face and forged ahead! Good thing I did...I SOLD OUT on the first day! I got to come home early which saved me hotel costs and gave me some well deserved quality time with my husband! Yea for "Soft in the Head"! I had some great experiences and made some new memories. My neighbors, Paul on my left and Sue on my right were gracious and fun! They have become new friends. I will never forget my favorite customer Mary as she lined up nine dolls on the floor through my booth in order to make up her mind and then took all of them giggling the whole time. To see customers that I had met 5 years ago in Woodstock,Vermont come back into my booth was inspiring.....I love doing what I do! I enjoy the camaraderie you build with other artists and the customers you make for life. I loved watching all the customers oooo and ahhhh over my little "Phoebe". Many recognized her from my banner on my blog. My mice were a huge hit and I seem to have developed a reputation as a maker for those little creatures and being the "PODD" lady! Thank you Fairfax for such a FANTASTIC show!

YAY FOR MAMA!!!!

It's nice when the time of year comes around where you actually get a little satisfaction from all the work you put into those creatures of the eastern forests.

Luv u,
