GIVING THANKS!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time of year to sit back and think about everything that is meaningful in one's life. I have had a year of new experiences, many happy and some "not so much". I have made friends, and lost friends...I have grown in so many ways and yet still want to cling onto my youth (don't we all!). I believe the first thought that does come to my mind though is to say "THANK YOU" to all of you that give me a few minutes of your time to visit here and send me emails of encouragement and laughter or leave a comment with the same sentiments. "Soft in the Head" has seen many changes this last year and it continues to thrive even with our rocky economy and I only have all of you to thank for that.

Now when you sit down with your loved ones this Thanksgiving I want everyone to whisper to themselves something that they are REALLY thankful for and say a thank you to the "Powers That Be" upstairs for blessing you so well. It's that time of year that makes us ALL remember, even if it is for just a short time, how thankful we really are. I have a home, old, but nonetheless a home. I have food to eat and blanket to keep me warm. My children are safe, scattered around the world, but safe. I will be lifting my drumstick as a toast to all tomorrow, with hopes of a promising up-coming year!
Oh yea....the picture is of my new character being introduced on the 1st...Meet Martha the little "Match Bunny".

Ooooooooooooh Pam,

The little match girl was my all time favorite story. It always reminded me that there was always someone worse off than me and taught me gratitude at a very young age, and I am grateful. Grateful for all I do have; my health, my family, my home, my friends, my animals, and you.

I am grateful to have you and artists like you for bringing a smile to my face with your whimsy in creating and your blogs which make this world a little smaller and all of us a little closer - our family of man.

Blessings to all this Thanksgiving and throughout the year!

Hugs & smiles, alba

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. We don't celebrate that over here. I already wrote at other blogs; we take everything for granted lol! In fact we don't have time to sit back and be grateful, because Santa's big giving party is December 5th over here.
But I think it's good to have friends with other traditions. I'm trying to count my blessings every day, as I noticed that most people tend to count their blessings when they have just lost one. The counting is one short, that's no fun at all. So thank you of reminding me to be grateful at the right moment!

Pam,
My friend. Oh what sweet words. Today was bittersweet but pushed the bad aside and pushed through the good. I got to hug a few I love and ate too much.
Yes, there is always someone who has it worse off then me.
I am greatful for your inspiration, friendship and always good for a giggle.
Hope the next year we both can make leaps and bounds. both personally and with our business.
Blessings everyday not just today
Pea

I haven't paid a visit to your blog in a while and thoroughly enjoyed my coffee this morning while catching up with your posts....sounds like that show was beyond your expectations!!I think I will surprise Terry with a batch of your cocoa mix. Drop by The Door if you have a minute...we were featured recently on TV and still can't get over our good fortune.
Wishing you all the best this holiday season...Jackie at The Red Door
