The leaves are starting to turn and clutter my deck, but when I walk outside it is hot and humid! I see "Fall" beginning to happen all around me but not in the temperature! I started bringing out the pumpkins, gourds and fall leaves to set around. I even bought the "proverbial" mums for outside. I feel like it's Fall but I think "Mother Nature" has other ideas!

Everyone always hears me talk about my "Halloween Corner" in this old store that we live in. I thought I would share some pictures of that corner with everyone. Pretty much everything in the corner, with the exception of the books, has either been a gift or made from one of my fellow artist friends. I recently got the most incredible signs and game board from Pam of "GoldieLoo" in a "Fall Swap"!

As you all probably figured out "I LOVE HALLOWEEN"! The books that I have are antique and vintage copies of children's stories about Witches and other Ghostly Halloween stories. I also have a collection from the late 1800's of Edgar Allen Poe works, which I love! I kept one of my creations, probably the only one I EVER kept, and that is "Marley" the Ghost. I fell in love with him when I was finished and just could NEVER part with him. You will see "Little Mourning Glory" sitting on the shelf....she is still looking for a home. Alas she may have to wait till we head on out for our Harvest Shows! Poor
Glory.....so sad!

Here are a few more pictures of the "Halloween Corner" and my diningroom. The one thing about living in this old place is that you need to be happy with nails in walls (rusty 100 year old nails)chipping paint, tons of dust and cobwebs, weird and old contraptions hanging from the ceiling (buggy whip hangers)a lot of room but no rooms, and the lack of windows! The main living area of this old place is one VERY long room that is our Diningroom/Livingroom/Familyroom and two old storerooms off to either side. One storeroom was converted into the kitchen, a bathroom and bedroom. The other storeroom is a bedroom and my work area! Oh did I mention it is also HAUNTED!!!!!!
