As our kids have left the nest and moved on into there own Christmas traditions the "Stocking Event" has continued! My son-in-law started out slow with his stocking training but now going on year six he is getting the hang of it and my daughter is quite thankful. Yes, the technique for good stocking stuffers is a time worn tradition and takes years to master!
I believe this tradition was brought to the Gracia family from the Manning's (my family). My mother was the Queen Elf when it came to the stuffing of the stocking......BUT along with her talents at stocking stuffing came her evil sense of humor and my brothers and I often found ourselves spending the first few hours of Christmas morning searching for our stockings only to discover the stockings had turned into our ski boots, work boots or barn boots (ewww) . She seriously got her Christmas joy bribing Santa to tease us in the worst way with a Christmas morning Hide and Seek!
Here's to "TRADITIONS" in all families....We are bound as family by the traditions that we carry on regardless of how small or trivial they seem to others...they belong to us and make us family! So go forth and create, stuff, make, bake and do...create a TRADITION!

Hello, Pam
We ALWAYS hung up stockings on our fake fireplace growing up. It is one of the first places we looked for tiny presents on Christmas morning. So happy to see you are doing well.
Have a very, very lovely Holiday Season!
I truly love family traditions!
I love the pic of the little girl with her bum showing....that was me in my hospital gown earlier this week! *giggle*
Hope you are continuing to get stronger each day!
Love,

As my kids got older we started the stocking stuffing tradition too. No gifts under the tree. All gifts have to fit our stockings. Nothing too expensive. Lots of joke gifts:) It's lots of fun.
Stocking stuffers are fun, with the funny little things that make people laugh. I lover traditions.
Keep getting stronger every day.
Hugs

I love hearing about everyone's traditions and especially about the stockings. I enjoy the looks and laughs Christmas morning as everyone sorts through their hanging treasure trove!
Love the stocking tradition. My European mother celebrates by leaving shoes out on Dec 6th--St. Nicolas Day in her native country, and they are either filled with sweets or coal/sticks depending on whether you were good or bad. Every year, I make glittered, gold, or silver painted sticks and leave them in her shoes. She loves the creativity of it, but of course, the joke is that she's an amazing mother, so her being "bad" is a little joke :)
We hang stocking when we were little got fruit in our .But when my kids were little they stocking were full. And I have made bigger one now and still hang there stocking and grandchil's stocking here .Plan tp do that till I ran out of money or pass on.
