Good Friends and Treasures........

The unexpected gift is often the most treasured one. To think that during someones busy day/life that they thought of you only adds to the magic of it all. I received this amazing gift in the mail yesterday....well it could have been out there before yesterday but I managed to walk out to my mailbox yesterday (yay me!) Inside my mailbox was a very ornate (decorated) manilla envelope from Norfolk, Va. from one of the sweetest and dearest friends anyone could have, Connie Hindmarsh! Many of you know Connie as the "Romper Room Lady" or the owner and designer extraordinaire of "Bears, Hares and Folk Art Dolls". Connie and I have never met in person and our friendship blossomed via emails and phone calls. She is such a gentle soul and makes my life richer just knowing her. She had this sweet book in her collection and felt that it had a better home with me! Needless to say this Ol' mush-pot teared up when reading her note and seeing this vintage book being a lover and collector of old books! Thank you so much Connie! Your generosity knows no bounds and your thoughtfulness is what gives most of us balance in our lives. You are a true gem of the rarest kind! Bless you!
