I had a few pictures lying around of what my little workspace looks like when it's clean and ready for action....Gosh I miss that, doesn't happen often! Most of the time I'm wading through mounds
of fabric and tangled balls of cast off thread and balls of fluff. God forbid I drop a needle or misplace a valuable button! As you can see by the picture I'm a collector! With the help of friends and my own desire for junk I'm often surrounded by the "eye candy" for an artist like myself. My primitive designs often require the use of certain pieces of the past in order to develop their special personality...whether
it's a piece from an old lamp, a vintage bobbin or just some antique rusty square nails I love building a primitive character on a piece that has a story! When I start designing for "Ghoultide Gathering" most of the characters will begin
their life this way. Last year I used old clock cases, rusty lanterns, and vintage volumes of Poe's work.....It was so much fun finding the personalities of my characters using pieces from the past! Ghoultide offers me the opportunity to live outside the box and if needed add a few rooms, lol! Needless to say this small, but adequate, workspace that I have is always filled with many oddities and pieces waiting for a breath of life! I may work in chaos but from my chaos come some pretty funny characters just waiting to make some of you smile! Now if I could just find the presser foot for my sewing machine my work day will commence!

I need to clean out my rooms, all of them are a mess, lol. With the cats, I decided I need to put all loose items in plastic boxes, so will have to start getting those and reorganizing.

Yes keep the chaos, you turn out some pretty amazing things that make me smile. Maybe there is hope for me yet in my upside down sewing room. I love to see where other women create. Thanks for sharing. Vicky
