Let me tell you at 2:30 pm December 18th I thought I was having a flashback to when I lived in New England! We have been here for four years and NEVER saw anything like what has been going on weather wise here before!
pictures through windows especially dirty windows, tee hee! I was smart and filled all my feeders before the storm hit so there is plenty of goodies to go around. Fortunately for us having New England winters under our belts helped us prepare for this
onslaught of winter. We only have one entrance into this "Old Store" that we live in and it was covered with over 2 feet of snow. When I woke up Saturday morning and saw that snow covered the back door I knew we were in trouble and visions of having to move the entertainment
center and forcing the antique front doors (that NEVER get used) to move on their rusty hinges started popping into my head...but alas Nanook of North (Dan) was able to save the day and get through the mounds of snow blocking the
back door and venture out into our winter wonderland! Of course once he shoveled and hiked back and forth from the garage to the house a few times the rest of the day was spent snuggled in his recliner watching an old movie or two and catching up with recorded shows. My Hero!

We got hit pretty hard too... they said 21" for Maryland which was a record snow fall for the month of December. Plus it was one of the top 7 worst storms we've ever had. I'm sure the same goes for your area...at least we had a lot of snowplows to keep the main highways cleaned off...secondary roads were not so lucky.
I hope the sun is shining were you guys are now... we sure have a bright and sunny day on our hands.
Hugs,
Theresa
